Lipid Controls
HDL/LDL Cholesterol Controls, Low, Moderate and Elevated Laboratory determination of coronary risk assessment depends upon well controlled separation, neutralization, precipitation and chemical procedure. ACS’s human based controls are prepared to perform in the same manner as patient samples in the low, moderate and high risk categories. The materials are lyophilized for excellent storage stability. They have been assayed by phosphotungstic acid, dextran sulfate and immuno-chemical procedures and have been shown to perform like fresh human serum.
HDL Cholesterol Control, Normal & Elevated ACS prepares HDL cholesterol controls from animal lipoprotein in a stabilized human serum base. Each control precipitates completely with either dextran sulfate or phosphotungstic acid. The product is manufactured to HDL cholesterol and total cholesterol target values when supplied by an OEM customer. ACS also has the ability to assign the low density and high density cholesterol concentration by chemical procedures. Serum controls are stable for five days when refrigerated after reconstitution or for two years as a lyophilized powder. Because the price depends upon formulation, lot size and if the product is lyophilized, labeled and value assigned, please inquire about an OEM price for a product of your specifications.
Total Lipid Control (Animal Based), Normal & Elevated The animal based Total Lipid Control aids in controlling the variables in chemical and enzymatic determinations of cholesterol and triglyceride. Prepared from animal serum for added user safety, the control is remarkably clear, exhibits exceptional reconstituted stability (five days refrigerate) and remains stable for at least two years as a lyophilized powder. The triglyceride and total cholesterol levels are set to OEM customer specifications. These values can be adjusted from 125-400 mg/dl for cholesterol and 50-400 mg/dl for triglyceride. The animal based Total Lipid Control contains no glycerol or synthetic cholesterol, and both elevated and normal controls are suitable for automated assays.
Total Lipid Control (Human Based), Normal & Elevated The human based Total Lipid Control aids in controlling the chemical and enzymatic determinations of cholesterol and triglyceride. The product is prepared from human serum, remains remarkably clear, exhibits exceptional stability when reconstituted (five days refrigerated) and stays stable for two years as a lyophilized powder. The ACS staff will set the triglyceride and cholesterol values to meet customer specifications from the range of 50-400 mg/dl for triglycerides and 125-400 mg/dl for cholesterol. The control contains no glycerol or synthetic cholesterol, only materials which are suitable from common laboratory assays.
